The University of South Carolina Integrated Information Technology students will be presenting their USC Capstone IT Projects: From Software Development for the Boeing Company to Training Seniors on Computing Skills.

Every semester, University of South Carolina senior Integrated Information Technology (IIT) students initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close real-world IT projects for real clients using the PMI PMBOK processes. At our December Lunch & Learn program, listen about the lessons USC’s latest project management students are learning as they deal with real clients to design or update company Websites, provide technology workshops to senior citizens and high school students, and develop mobile apps for larger corporations. Three student teams will present their experiences, while other student teams will exhibit posters about their projects.

Under the direction of Dr. Karen Patten, Assistant Professor, Integrated Information Technology, these students must complete an ‘experiential’ Capstone project as well as complete 400 hours in an IT-related internship prior to graduation. In the past, IT student teams have also completed several projects for PMI-Midlands members as well.

Please join us in encouraging the next generation of project managers as they complete their college careers.
