Estimating is our topic for the August Lunch-n-Learn event! Attendees will be exposed to the tools and techniques used for estimating as outlined in the Project Cost Management Knowledge Area of the PMBOK guide.
Workshop Objective(s):
Guest Speaker –Bobby Bowers will provide an overview of the tools and techniques used for Estimating. Attendees will come away with an enhanced understanding of the process of estimating and how it fits in to the overall project management process.
Workshop Speaker Bio
Bobby Bower earned his MBA at the Ivey School of Business in London in 1989 and his PMP in 2009. His introduction to project management came in 2000 when he was recruited to oversee the construction of an $11 million manufacturing facility in Statesville, NC. Since that time most of his work has been as an independent project manager either in commercial or residential construction management. His experience includes a role as a core team member in the conversion of 162 TD Bank branches bought from failing regional banks in the Carolinas and Florida and Project Manager for modifications at 139 TD branches done overnight to accommodate new equipment. He currently has oversight responsibility for re-branding of 127 clinics and healthcare facilities owned by Carolinas Healthcare System of Charlotte.
